At this point, it is not news that the new browser that Microsoft launched with the arrival of Windows 10, Edge, is suffering a constant drain of users, users who are adopting Chrome as their usual browser. Microsoft Edge has two major problems because users are stopping using it. On the one hand no possibility to sync bookmarks with another version of Edge, since it is only available for Windows 10, a serious problem for users who want to have their bookmarks synchronized at all times. On the other hand we have the problem of extensions, extensions that have taken a long time to arrive to the Microsoft browser.
We do not know if Microsoft is aware of it, or is olympic on the subject, but the Redmond-based company continues to invest money in advertising its browser. Previously, Microsoft has published several videos in which we can see how the performance and battery life of laptops with this browser increases considerably.
While the issue of extensions is solved little by little and the company is adding more options to customize the navigation, the guys from Redmond are considering the possibility of launching a version of Edge for mobile devices, a solution that would allow users to synchronize their bookmarks and that could help to recover some of the lost ground.
The ads that I have commented above, show us how the performance of Edge is 20% more efficient than Chrome, the main competitor and the one who is getting the majority of users who give up using Chrome.
