Throughout the history of Microsoft there have been many unknowns about many products, such as what happened with Windows 93, why Microsoft Surface Mini did not come out and what happened with Windows 9. We know about the latter that it was going to come out but from some strange reason has not come to see the light of day but the new information indicates or explains part of why Windows 9 was not released.
A new patent published on March 31 refers to Windows 9, this patent does not speak much of the reason for its withdrawal but it would indicate that Windows 10 Threshold would initially be Windows 9 and Windows 10 would correspond to Redstone.
Windows 9 would have been Windows 10 Threshold according to the new published patent
While Windows 9 would be an intermediate step between Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, the Threshold version would fit perfectly, but it wouldn't explain why it was dropped. Despite all this, it is still curious how the change was not applied to everything related to Windows 9 and there are still traces of what Windows 9 would be, at least vague allusions that would indicate the sudden change by Microsoft.
The truth is that Windows 10 has been a turning point for the Windows family and for Microsoft. Not only has the operating system significantly improved but it will be the last Windows in a long time since the next versions will be important updates to Windows 10, but they will not stop being Windows 10.
I personally think Windows 9 was withdrawn for some hidden problem that it had Microsoft's operating system, that's clear, but I don't know why Microsoft denies everything and doesn't say all the information, something that would make it closer to its users. Apparently Microsoft is obsessed with privacy, not only the privacy of the user but also its own privacy, but Do you have something to hide?
