Okay, we have a great edition with Windows 10 and we are very happy those of us who have gone from day one to this version that in two months will no longer be free, but it is Microsoft's obsession for everyone to update he's almost out of line.
The new thing is that, if you don't want Windows 10, whether it's free or whatever, don't even think about clicking on the «X» button Close the new version of the "Upgrade to Windows 10" window. While we have already commented on occasion how heavy this window can be, now it has even become aggressive in its behavior.
That aggressiveness is due to what happens when you close the window, and is that supposedly are you telling microsoft this: "It's okay to upgrade my PC to Windows 10 when I don't want it to."
That window closing icon, as we know it in any operating system, serves to close a window and is expected to cancel or deny the current action. But in the window of «Upgrade to Windows 10» performs another very different behavior, since what it does is give an "OK" to the update.
So basically GWX.exe, the program that is responsible for notifying the update, offers two options, one to update the system immediately or accept the automatic update program, which is usually at night. So by closing the window what you do is schedule the update to proceed.
Surely Microsoft is going to receive a lot of criticism for this very aggressive tactic to force the upgrade to Windows 10. And the urgency for this to happen is due to the fact that users will not be so inclined to upgrade when they have to pay for it.
El Windows 10 free period ends on July 29, just when the Anniversary Update is rolled out.
