Throughout the years that I have been interacting with existing computers and operating systems (more than 20 years), I have tested a large number of applications both for video editing and photography, to create documents, databases, spreadsheets, presentations ... but in the end, I always come back to it.
Once you get used to using an interface, with its corresponding keyboard shortcuts, it is very difficult to change, since muscle memory can play tricks on you. One of the editors that I use sporadically is GIMP, a free photo editor, very powerful and has little to envy Photoshop.
When I say envy, I mean the main functions that it offers us, because today, there is no other application on the market that offers us the same functions. not the same power that we can find in this Adobe application.
The problem with GIMP, at least for me, is what I have commented above. I've been using Photoshop for many years and I know where all the options I need are at all times. When I use GIMP, it takes more than twice as long to process an image because I have to locate the functions that I use regularly in Photoshop.
Fortunately, for these users, including myself, we have PhotoGIMP, a modification of the GIMP photo editor that implements the same aesthetics that we can find in Photoshop. This version is available for all platforms: Windows, macOS, and Linux.

It is necessary to have previously installed the latest version of GIMP, since PhotoGIMP is an aesthetic modification of the application's menus. Once we install this mod, the interface will change to English, but we can change the language back to Spanish without problems.
