Since Windows 3.11 Microsoft warns us about the Windows startup with a sound that many users, at least in the first versions of Windows, were dedicated to changing. But the Windows startup sound is not the only one available, since throughout the operation of the operating system, we can hear different sounds that will warn us of the different actions we carry out, whether as confirmation, as an error sound, when it remains low battery, a calendar notice, a new email ... Over time it is likely that we get tired of these sounds and let's proceed to change them for what they offer us themes, which not only change the sound, but also the aesthetics of the operating system.
But it is also likely that if we use our PC at night and we do not want to disturb the people around us, or because we are simply fed up with all the sounds that are emitted through Windows. Fortunately, we can proceed to deactivate part of the sounds, especially those that annoy us the most. Or we can directly disable absolutely all the sounds that are emitted in Windows.
Turn off all Windows 10 sounds
To deactivate all the sounds of Windows 10 it is not necessary to edit any line in the registry, but we can do it quickly through the Windows configuration options. To access the sound configuration, section from where we can configure it, we must go to the sound icon and click on the right button, to press Sounds to bring up the configuration context menu.
Next we go to the third tab, which is titled Sounds. Now we go to Combination of sounds and click on the drop-down arrow to select No sounds, click on Apply and then OK. From that moment on, our version of Windows will stop emitting any sound.
