The guys from Firefox have just released a new update to their browser, reaching version number 52, a version that will be the last compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista. More and more manufacturers are discontinuing support for older versions of Windows, including XP and Vista. The reason for discontinuing support is that are no longer secure and new security measures cannot be implemented, so they are forced to abandon the operating system.
But unlike other developers, although Firefox version number 52 is the last one that will be compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista, the Mozilla foundation will continue to release security updates for computers with these operating systems, but no miracles can be done, so the most recommended is to start thinking about renewing our team or try to see the possibility of updating it to Windows 7 or, failing that, to Windows 10, the latest version available from Microsoft in the Windows environment.
At the moment we do not know for how long it will release security updates, but it is assumed that they will continue to do so as long as they can be implemented in XP and Vista.
