All operating systems offer us different configurations to be able to adapt to all users, regardless of whether they have vision, hearing or interaction problems. As the years have passed, the number of options that each new version of Windows offers us has increased considerably, something that is undoubtedly appreciated.
Within the Accessibility section of Windows 10, we find a large number of functions aimed at all those people with problems of some kind. The two most common settings are High Contrast, which modifies the colors of the screen, and the Narrator function, a function that reads the elements that are displayed on the screen. Here we show you how to activate Narrator function in Windows 10.
The Narrator function helps us to control the device if we have a visual problem that prevents us from clearly seeing the elements shown on the screen and using another of the functions, High Contrast, we don't solve our problems.
This function takes care of de read all items displayed on the screen and can be controlled by keyboard, mouse and touch input if the device has a touch screen. If you want to activate the Narrator function, you must follow the steps detailed below:
- First of all, we must go to the Windows 10 configuration options through the Win + i keyboard shortcut, or by clicking on the start button and clicking on the gear wheel located on the left side.
- Then click on Accessibility and in the left column click on Narrator.
- Now we go to the right column and activate the switch located under Use Narrator to read and interact with the device.
- Another faster option, if we don't want to have it always activated, is through the keyboard shortcut Win + Control + Enter.
