If a few days ago we taught you to recover space on your hard disk through the compression of system files with Compact OS, this time we show you how to compress the RAM memory of your computer and thus improve the overall performance of the system.
The following function will be really useful when your computers are congested due to the memory load due to the number of tasks in execution. RAM memory is the hardware component of the computer that allows a large number of applications to run concurrently. If this is insufficient, the program does not start, but if the problem is its availability, the operating system has other means to get more resources.
When the computer begins to run out of memory, it begins to dump the information of those applications that are not being used to the disk. This phenomenon, which is called pagination, translates into a set of read and write operations degrading overall system performance. To avoid this case we have two options, either increase the amount of memory on the computer or improve its administration to take better advantage of what we already have.
From the Task Manager of our system Windows 10 it is possible to observe the amount of memory that has been compressed, based on the applications that have been detected as inactive within the computer. To activate or deactivate this process, we must go to the Task Scheduler through the search in the task bar "task scheduler" and navigating inside by Task Scheduler Library> Microsoft> Windows> MemoryDiagnostic.
Once inside, in the central panel we must locate the called process RunFullMemoryDiagnostic on which we have to click with the right mouse button and select the option Deactivate. With this, we will ensure that the Administrator does not execute its memory diagnostic algorithm and therefore does not compress the memory.
If later we want to reactivate this function, we must follow these same steps and select as the last option Activate. Reducing the use of the paging file will significantly improve the performance of your computer, especially those with 4 GB or less.
