How to delete a game from the Epic Games Store

Download Epic Games Store

Game stores in digital format have become practically the only way to purchase games, although we can always buy physical editions, although of very exclusive titles that come with a large number of additional merchandising and that they have a price much higher than the digital format.

When these game stores did not exist, to delete a game we only had to visit the game options and click on the uninstall icon. If this was not found, we could access the Windows configuration options and uninstall it directly.

When it comes to deleting any of the games that we have purchased on this type of platform, we have no choice but to use the application with which we have installed it. Although it is true that sometimes, these are available in the Applications section to be able to eliminate them, when doing so, always will redirect us to the corresponding application, from where we have to carry out the process.

Delete a game from the Epic Games Store

A few days ago, I showed you how we could delete a game from Steam. Now it's the turn of the Epic Games Store. Unlike Steam games, those in the Epic Games Store are not found within the applications section of the configuration options, so we must carry out this process directly from the application itself.

  • Once we have opened the application, we go to the library.
  • The first titles that are shown are the ones we have installed. To delete any of these titles, we must click on the three dots that are located after the title name.
  • Among the options that are displayed, we must select Uninstall.

This process will last from a few seconds to several hours depending on the type of hard drive we have. If it is an SSD, the process will take seconds, while if it is a mechanical hard drive, it will take several minutes depending on the size of the game.

Those steps are for "UNINSTALL" not for "DELETE".
I want to permanently delete a game from my library (that no longer appears in my library), when I uninstall it, it only stops being ready to play but it is not deleted, it is still there.

You cannot remove a game from the list of games you have purchased from Epic Games (as on any other platform) unless you request a refund for the game and proceed to return it.

      Sorry I can't help you.

      Greetings.

In STEAM you can delete any game and it doesn't appear anymore. No need to ask for a refund.
