How to remove bloatware in Windows

clear windows bloatware

Bloatware has become a problem for all users who choose to buy a laptop, as manufacturers insist on adding a large number of applications that 99% of users they never plan to use, since they use other applications with which they have been working for a long time.

The manufacturers have no intention of giving up their efforts. Fortunately, Microsoft is aware of this bad practice And the only thing you can do to avoid it is to offer us a tool to remove all that useless software that comes pre-installed on laptops.

If you buy a desktop computer, it is most likely that it comes without an operating system, so I have not included this type of equipment among those affected, although it may also be if we buy it from the same manufacturers that sell laptops such as Asus, Lenovo, HP or Dell.

The function that allows us to remove bloatware from our computer is called Start from scratch, a function that we can access by performing the following steps:

  • First we access the Windows configuration options through the start menu or by pressing the key combination: Windows key + i
  • Next, click on Update and security and in the next menu in Windows security.
  • In the next section, click on Performance and device health. In the right column, we find the option Start from scratch.

This option allows us to perform a clean and updated installation of Windows 10 keeping all the files that we have on our computer without using the software offered by the manufacturer, for the existence of bloatware is reduced to zero.

Keep in mind that all the applications that we have installed will also be removed, so you must take it into account before carrying out this process. If you always use them, you will have no problem reinstalling them.
