Windows 10 learns how we usually work in our team to offer solutions to first world problems which we face on a day-to-day basis. Most likely, if we usually work with certain directories, we have had the consideration of set them in the quick access menu.
This quick access menu is located on the right side of the explorer, an explorer that we have access to from any application when saving a file. If not, Windows 10 will automatically take care of adding that directory to the quick access section, in order to quickly access it (forgive the redundancy).
In a native way, Windows offers us within the Quick Access menu of our computer, access to the desktop, to the downloads, documents, images ... If we use any other directory on a regular basis, this will also be found in this section, or if we have added it manually.
When we stop working on a project or job, it is likely that it no longer makes any sense to maintain that quick access, a quick access that the only thing you can do is taking time to find where we really needHence, it is best to remove it.
How to delete a Quick Access folder in Windows 10
Being an operation related to the structure of Windows Explorer, it is a very simple procedure that hardly it will take a few seconds following the steps that I detail below:
- First of all, we must open Windows Explorer and go to the shortcut that we want to delete.
- Next, we right-click on that directory and select Unpin from Quick Access.
If we have the wrong folder and we want to add it back to the list of Quick Access folders, we just have to go to the folder, press the right button and select Pin to Quick Access.
