You must bear in mind that for we are going to edit the Windows registry, as well as join the free Microsoft MAPS program. As always, keeping a backup copy prior to performing the procedure is quite appropriate.
Join Microsoft MAPS
First of all we are going to enter the Registry Editor, for this we press «Windows Key + R» and we will write "Regedit" in the text box. Now we press the enter key and we will enter the Registry Editor. Now we are going to follow the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows Defender. On the folder we will click with the right button of the mouse, we will choose the «New» function and click on «Password» within the drop-down menu that opens.
Create a file with DWORD value (32bits) and rename it to Spynet Reporting. Now click on "SpynetReporting", a pop-up will open, we will assign in «Value information» the number 2 and click on accept.
Change protection level
We return to the Windows Registry Editor, navigate again to the path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Policies \ Microsoft \ Windows Defender. On Windows Defender we will give the right button again and choose the function «New> DWORD value (32bits)», and we will create a new folder called MpEngine.
Now inside MpEngine We give New> DWORD Value (32bits) and create another file with Value Information «2» and click on accept. Now Windows Defender will use the maximum level of protection. That easy.
