How to install Android Studio on Windows 10

Android Studio

Windows Phone or Windows 10 Mobile seems to have no future for many developers or companies dedicated to the world of mobile apps. But this does not mean that we cannot use Windows 10 to develop mobile apps. Not much less.

The largest platform, Android, has enough tools so that any developer can create apps from Windows 10. For this we only have to use Android Studio, the IDE that Google has created for its developers. Installing Android Studio in Windows 10 is very easy, but it is also true that needs many steps and auxiliary programs to work properly.

Java JDK Installation

Android uses Java programs to function. This means that we need to install the Java development kit for Android Studio to work properly. Surely many of you think you already have Java, but in this case we will need a special Java program. This program is called Java SE Development Kit or also called JDK. You can get it from the official Java website.

Once we have downloaded the program, we install it and restart the computer. You need to do this last step for the necessary changes to take effect.

Android Studio installation

Now that we have the JDK installed on our Windows, we can install Android Studio. First we have to go to the official Android website and get the corresponding version of Android Studio for Windows. Once we have downloaded the package, we double click on the package and the installation wizard will appear. An assistant that is of the «next» type, that is, pressing the next button all the time until the end.

After that, it will appear the Android Studio shortcut icon on our Windows 10 desktop. We may have problems installing this application. And is that Android Studio is a demanding program that will ask us to have a fairly powerful computer. At least with 3 Gb of ram memory and 2 Gb of hard disk space. If we meet these requirements, the installation will not present any problem.
