A week ago we just learned that the Windows 10 Start Menu will receive great love from Microsoft in the Anniversary Update next summer.
It is today when we know that this new Start Menu is being deployed in internal rs1_release builds. This means that internal testing is now complete and the company is ready to release those changes to Insiders.
Sources who have shared this news also say that the improved "Tablet Mode" change the way the "All apps" list appears in that build rs1_release, which brings us to some obvious changes in both the Start Menu and the Windows 10 start screen. These changes will be obtained by Insiders who are in that special program where feedback is vital to continue improving the update that will arrive in summer.
If everything goes as expected, the new Start Menu should be present in the next compilation for Insiders for desktop, just recently announced by Gabe Aul that it would arrive next week.
The layout of the app list and the Start Menu takes part of Microsoft's efforts to offer a better user experience to users who already have that Windows 10 that is taking Redmond in recent weeks. We already knew that Windows 10 found on 270 million computers all over the world, which is something to be proud of and which users will benefit from Microsoft's joy about it.
Insiders will be able to vote on these new changes through the feedback they can provide, so if the new designs for the Start Menu and the list of apps do not appeal to you, they will have a way to let you know.
