A few days ago we learned that Microsoft was planning to include a finely canceled Lumia mobile device, a technology quite similar to what we can currently enjoy on Apple's iPhone. We are talking about Touch 3D, and although the technology, which we have known today that the Redmond-based company has patented, would be something different, although equally attractive for all users.
And it is that as we can read in the Microsoft patent, baptized with the name of "Multiple Stage Shy User Interface (MSSUI)", this new technology would allow us to control our smartphone without even having to touch the screen and without exerting pressure as happens in Apple terminals.
This new functionality, which we may see in the next high-end Lumia, would be achieved with proximity sensors with sensitivity in 3D space that would collect data on the exact touch of the finger on the screen. As we already said, it would also be possible to get a response from our device without even touching the screen.
In the patent we can see a small example of what this new Microsoft technology would offer us and it has to do with playing a video. Regulating the volume of the video without touching the screen or advancing the movie, it will be possible without having to touch the screen, something really interesting on many occasions.
At the moment Microsoft seems to be serious with its new 3D Touch technology, although at the moment we do not know when it could be available on Lumia terminals.
What do you think of Microsoft's new patent related to 3D Touch technology?.
