How to mount and burn ISO images in Windows

Disk coming out of a laptop

High Internet speeds have made downloading ISO images easier and more popular than ever. We can also get ISO images quickly so we do not have to wait days to get a cd or dvd with the iso image that we have downloaded.

With the latest Windows, with Windows 10, both the process of recording and mounting images is something very simple and straightforward but it is not in the case of previous windows. Here we will show you how to do it both in Windows 10 and in previous versions of Windows and all for free.

Mount and burn ISO images in Windows 10

The guys at Microsoft are aware that iso images are usually important for any user. But they not only believe that they can be recorded but that they can also be mount without burning the image. That is, run the ISO image as if it were a physical disk.

To do this, we only have to right-click on the image and we will have the two options: mount an ISO image or Burn the Image. In both cases, just clicking will be enough to solve our problem. No necessary software or extra payments.

Mount and burn an ISO image on other Windows

In the case of using a version prior to Windows 10, although you can record images in a simple and dangerous way, we cannot mount any ISO image on the system. To do this we will use a complementary software that is free and is called Alcohol 52%.

Both Alcohol 52% and other versions of this program can be found at this link. It has a free version and another version more professional called Alcohol 120%. In both versions we will be allowed to record and mount ISO images without any problem and in an intuitive way. Easy right?
