Microsoft will finally choose to change the Windows 10 start menu: this will be its new interface

New Windows 10 Start Menu

Although it is true that it has undergone minor modifications in terms of functionality and similar developments, the truth is that the layout of the Windows 10 start menu itself is pretty much the same from the initial version of the operating system to the present.

However, the truth is that lately we have been seeing some modifications regarding the icons of Windows' own applications, and this made us think that a design change would probably come with the arrival of Windows 10 20H2, it is that is, the new version of the operating system that we would see in the fall, after the few changes introduced in the November 2019 Update. And indeed, regardless of the rumors We know that this will be the case, and that one of those affected by the visual changes will be the start menu.

This will be the new Windows 10 start menu

As we mentioned, although it is true that we previously saw some rumors about it, the change in the start menu is now official. We know this basically because it is not a concept or a rumor, but it is Microsoft's own design team who posted on Twitter how would this new start menu be.

In the video in question you can see how the new Windows 10 start menu would look with different customizations, adapting to all tastes. The essence is practically the same, with a somewhat clearer interface, with greater separation and more predominance of Live Tiles, adapted to the new design of the icons, but at the same time maintaining the previous essence of applications and programs organized in the style of folders, in alphabetical order.

The change is not being fully appreciated by users, so it will be Microsoft who decides whether or not to finally include it in its future versions of Windows 10. If so, although it is true that it could come as a change last minute version 20H1, hopefully they will directly keep the current one and update it officially with the release of Windows 10 20H2 in the fall.

If what they would have to do is modify it to be more current, like the Mac Launchpad. We have been using the same start menu strategy since when? Windows 95 ?? It makes no sense to continue supporting such a thing, and Microsoft does not want to see it.

Well, the truth is that there are different opinions about it, you can see it directly in the tweet ... But the decisions will be made by Microsoft 😉
