Redstone will arrive in July

Microsoft RedStone

Has already started BUILD 2016, one of the biggest events of Microsoft about its Software and the truth is that it has not left anyone indifferent. During this event we have known new functions that Windows 10 will have and we have also learned that the next big update of Windows, the Redstone update, will be released throughout the month of July of this year.

Apart from the fact that the rumors and suspicions towards this date are many, the truth is that in the development code there are four numbers that attribute to the launch date. In this case Redstone used 1607 which would come to say the month 7 of the year 2016, that is, July of this year.

This would coincide with other Microsoft releases where this weird number code appeared and confirmed the date. For example, Threshold 2 version was released in November 2015 and had 1511 in your code name.

RedStone could incorporate Ubuntu into Windows 10

But the most interesting thing about RedStone would not be the launch date, which we now know, but the new functions that it will have as using Microsoft Continuum without the need for a Display Dock or new Cortana cards, without forgetting that After RedStone, Ubuntu can be integrated with Windows 10 Or, at least, it seems. Some functions of what Windows RedStone brings and that will make many users start to wish the arrival of RedStone to their computers.

Personally I like this rate of updates that Microsoft has taken with respect to Windows 10, a rate of updates similar to that of other operating systems such as Mac OS or Gnu / Linux and that users like very much since they have news without having to change equipment as it happened previously. And we also know the date of the successor version, that is, RedStone RS2, but for this we still have to wait for spring 2017.
