When Samsung presented its new flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S8, days ago, it told us about the Microsoft Edition model. A model that many confused because they thought that the mobile would come with Windows 10 Mobile and it was actually a normal version of the Samsung Galazy S8 but with Microsoft apps and programs.
However, it seems that what was a rumor will become a reality. That is, it seems that on May 2 we will have a Samsung Galaxy S8 Windows Edition.
The Chinese portal ITHome has presented several screenshots and renders of what will be a new Samsung device with Windows 10 Mobile. This device is called Samsung Ativ S8 but the form and part of the hardware that we can see is similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8, so it seems that it will be a Samsung Galaxy S8 with Windows 10 Mobile. According to the same website, This Samsung device will be presented on May 2, at an official Microsoft event.
This launch has not been confirmed by Microsoft or Samsung, but what this website shows could well be a reality. Microsoft has been working with certain companies for a long time to create roms for their mobile operating system. These roms are fully functional and can be installed on the mobile getting a new device with Windows 10 Mobile. Xiaomi was the first manufacturer to do this alongside Microsoft and Samsung may be the next manufacturer to do so. Thus, this new mobile would not exist but would be a ROM for the new Samsung Galaxy S8, thus justifying the existence of some screenshots of the device.
In any case this is something that we will see shortly, next week to be more exact. And whether it exists or does not exist, the terminal has to cope with the shortage of applications that Windows 10 Mobile currently has, shortage that makes it difficult to believe in the existence of this terminal or maybe not?
It is a fake because it puts Windows Phone, which no longer exists, and since 2015 the OS for mobiles is called Windows 10 Mobile.
