These are the different keyboard combinations you can use to take screenshots in Windows
As we mentioned, in this case it is possible that depending on what you want the capture for or the part of the screen you want to capture, one command or another will be more useful. In this case, there are four different keyboard combinations that you will be able to use for your screenshots, getting exactly what you want. In this way, you will only have to select the one that interests you the most to put it into practice:
- PRINT SCREEN: without a doubt the best known. Pressing on the Print Screen a copy of the entire screen content will be saved to the clipboard. Afterwards, all you have to do is paste it into an application such as Paint to obtain the capture in other image formats.
- WIN + PRINT SCREEN: If you need to take a screenshot forgetting to paste it later in another application, this is your option. Pressing these keys will save a complete copy of all the content of the screen of your computer in format . Png directly in the captures folder, which by default you will find inside the image library.
- ALT + PRINT SCREEN: if instead of capturing the entire screen you only want to capture the program window that you have open, you only have to include the key OTHER to the combination. In this way, only what you have open and are using at the moment will be captured, that is, the last click you have made. In the same way, later you will need to use another application such as Paint since it will be saved on the computer's clipboard.
- WIN + SHIFT + S: if you want to capture only a part of the screen or a program, pressing this key combination will open the cropping and sketch options at the top, allowing you to make a selection of the screen so that only it is captured. Then you will need to paste the content in another application since it is saved in the clipboard.
