Depending on the use we make of our computers, it is more than likely that from time to time we will be forced to connect an external screen to our computer, in order to enjoy a larger work area, especially if we are dedicated to editing photos or videos, since we need to have a lot of related information at our disposal.
When working with large spreadsheets is an excellent solution, or also when enjoying our television series or movie while we work on our computer if we don't want to do it in a floating window from which we can barely appreciate the content.
Windows 10 has greatly improved the use that we can make of external monitors or two monitors connected to our computer. Gone are the complex menus that there was no God who understood to be able to know which is monitor 1, which is 2, which is the main one, because now it is the main one and not before...
Through the keyboard shortcut Windows keyboard + P, Windows 10 puts at our disposal a simple menu where we can select what we want to do with the monitor that we have connected to our computer, either leave it off because we do not have the need to display any content, duplicate the laptop screen on the external monitor, expand the desktop space or turn off the laptop screen so that the image is only displayed on the external screen.
Once we have accessed that menu, we just have to move with the scroll arrows or with the mouse and select the option that best suits our needs momentary. But if what we want is to extend the space of our desktop using a tablet, we can also do it and I will explain it in another article, but it is necessary to install a third-party application that is not free.
