The news are quite expected by users. However, the truth is that they also involve have a little more power in computers, and that is why it also requires better technical specifications to be able to install Windows 11. In other words: not all computers currently supported by Windows 10 will be able to upgrade to the new Windows 11. This can mean for many users who see the need to acquire a new computer if they need any of the new functions, since many computers that upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 8 or Windows 7 will be left out.
These are the technical requirements that your computer must meet in order to install Windows 11
As we mentioned, in this case the requirements to install Windows 11 have changed. In fact, if there is something that has not gone unnoticed, it is that, at least for Windows 11 Home, to be able to install this time It is mandatory to have an active Internet connection, as well as a Microsoft account to be able to link it to the team.
Going to a somewhat more technical level, in the own Microsoft website they have detailed all the minimum that your computer needs to be compatible with Windows 11 and that you can perform the installation if you wish, including:
- Processor: 1 GHz or faster with 2 or more cores in a compatible 64-bit processor or SoC.
- RAM: 4 GB or more.
- Storage: at least 64 GB of memory.
- System firmware: UEFI, Supports Secure Boot.
- TPM: version 2.0.
- Graphic card: DirectX 12 or later compatible with WDDM 2.0 driver.
- Screen- High definition (720p) over 9 ″ diagonal, with 8-bit channel per color.
In principle, these would be the characteristics necessary to install the first official version of Windows 11. However, it is likely that, with future updates, they will reduce some of the requirements, because for example the TPM version will generate quite a few headaches, especially to the most inexperienced users who want to use the new operating system.
