Windows Vista will be history in just a couple of months

Windows

A Microsoft roadmap for this year has just been released, and in it we see how in a couple of months they will stop supporting Windows Vista, one of the less successful versions of the Redmond operating system. This news comes after the company headed by Satya Nadella decided to shelve Windows XP.

This will mean that Microsoft will no longer make any updates to this version of the operating system, something that will not prevent some users from continuing to use it, as is the case with Windows XP, which currently has a 9% market share.

With this decision, only three versions of Windows will be officially available on the market; Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10. The next to "fall" on this list should be the most used software worldwide, and that could be a momentous decision, not only for Redmond but for a huge number of users who still use Windows 7. Of course, Support for this version will last until at least 2020 so we can rest assured, at least for now.

The market share of Windows Vista is currently less than 1% so the decision is not too important, nor too important, but the next steps will be more complicated. Of course, the end seems more than logical and that it is none other than to be able to crown Windows 10 in a short time as the most used operating system.

Does the one made by Microsoft and in reference to Windows Vista seem like an important decision?.
