The new Windows 10 update has brought us great improvements. Among them is the OneDrive update, an update that brings the On-Demand function, a very interesting function for users.
OneDrive On-Demand allows us select which files to synchronize with our Windows 10 computer. Something quite useful to save space on our computer and prevent our Windows 10 from filling up with files that we will never really use.
OneDrive On-Demand allows us to select the files that we want to be synchronized with our computer. This way we not only save space on our hard drive but also we can have the equipment disconnected, work with it and upload the changes made in a faster and easier way.
However, OneDrive On-Demand is not activated by default in our operating system. To do this, we have to right-click on the OneDrive icon and go to Settings. There we have to go to the option "Files On Demand" (or files On-Demand) and activate it.
Once we have activated this option, icons will appear next to the OneDrive files. These icons will tell us if the file is on our hard drive, if it is available through the Internet or if the file will always be on our computer.
If we want a file to be downloaded to our computer and managed by it, we just have to right-click on the file and choose the "Keep on this computer" option. If, on the other hand, we want that file not to be found on the computer, we just have to do the same operation and choose the "free space" option. Remember that if we don't do this and we delete the file directlyAlso We will remove the file from the rest of the computers that share this file. OneDrive On-Demand is quite an interesting feature, not only because it saves us hard drive space but also because helps us focus on certain files and prevents the system from going slow.
