The launch of Windows 10 came hand in hand with a new browser, a new browser called Microsoft Edge. But its arrival was not well received by users, who were used to using a series of plugins in the form of extensions that No. allowed us the new Microsoft browser.
The hasty launch and without offering this type of add-ons, was a hard blow for Microsoft, since users completely discarded Microsoft Edge as a browser, leaving only our system as the default browser to open the system links, links that if or if have to be opened with the native browser.

If you still don't want to know anything about Microsoft Edge, thanks to this little application called EdgeDeflector, you can get rid of the application completely and never suffer with Microsoft Edge again.
As I have said, if you usually modify any parameter of Windows 10, sometimes the system opens Edge by default although the default browser will be Chrome, Firefox, Opera or any other, since Microsoft used the prefix microsoft-edge: just in front of the address to the system.
EdgeDeflector takes care of modifying that address by removing the prefix so that all addresses open natively with the default browser and without Microsoft Edge making an appearance at any time. Thanks to this little app, Cortana's search results are prevented from showing through Microsoft Edge as well. As we can see, they are all advantages if we want to completely forget about Microsoft Edge.
