Major updates, such as the one that occurred with the Windows 10 Anniversay Update, can lead to some parts of the system they don't work properly or small errors or lack of performance arise. It is for this very reason that Microsoft has launched the update in phases so that the different errors that may appear can be solved.
One of these errors is the impossibility, for some users, of launching the NVIDIA Control Panel which becomes more of an empty white window. This is because Windows Update thinks the driver for your NVIDIA graphics card is up to date, but in reality it is not. We are going to show you how to fix the control panel and manually update the driver so that you have everything solved.
How to fix NVIDIA control panel in Windows 10 Anniversary Update
- We right click on it windows start button
- We seek Device administrator and we launched it
- We double click on Display adapters
- Now double click again on your Graphic card (in my case the GTX 660)
- We go to Controller tab at the top of the window
- Click on Update Driver
- Now will be the time to click on "Search automatically for updated driver software". Windows will search and download the latest version of the graphics driver
- We close when the download and installation is done
- We press on the X in the upper right corner of Device Manager
- Now we press «Yes» to restart the computer so that the driver files are installed correctly
Now we will have the control panel again fully functional by having the latest version installed. Anyway, we do not think it will take long to correct this error that is appearing to some users.

To date does the same problem remain? Horror….
