How to disable mandatory use of signed drivers in Windows 10

Windows 10

The legacy of drivers has become more restrictive with the new version of the Windows 10 operating system. The new software from the Redmond company does not allow the installation of drivers that are not digitally signed, as a way to avoid possible infections within the computer. This measure, which is very flattering for the user, can also be the main stumbling block when trying to carry out certain tasks that involve the use of third-party drivers that, although we know that they are reliable sources, Microsoft does not have them recognized.

In this guide we will teach you how to disable the mandatory use of signed drivers and establish a boot in the system that allows you to perform certain specific tasks. Always act responsibly and use safe sources, since the installation of those that come from unknown sources always involves a risk for your system.

Windows 10 has tightened its policy on unsigned drivers. Certain programs perform specific operations that work at a low level within the system and require the use of them. If we want to be able to install them within the computer, we must follow a series of steps that will allow us to install them during a single session of the system:

  1. We will click on the Start Menu and choose the option to Configuration.
  2. Next we will click on Update and security.
  3. We will then select Recovery.
  4. Below option Advanced start, we will click on Restart now. From this moment we will enter the system recovery mode, so save all your work first.
  5. We will choose Troubleshoot> Advanced options> Startup configuration and finally click on Restart.
  6. At the Startup Settings screen press 7 or F7 to disable the mandatory use of signed drivers.

The computer will restart and we will be able to install drivers without digital signatures. If we restart the computer again, the mandatory use of signed drivers will be enabled.
