Gmail is the email service most used by most. It is common for us to end up sending and receiving a huge amount of emails in it, especially if we have been using this platform for some time. To make this process possible we will have to enter our Google account. We can access it from any service of the firm, such as Gmail, by clicking on the profile photo that is seen in the upper right part of the screen. Within this account, we look at the panel that is located on the left side of the screen. There we can see that there is a section called Data and personalization. We have to click on this option, which will take us to a new menu. In this new section we have to go down, until we reach a section called Data about what you create and do. Just below it we have a text in blue that says «Go to the Google control panel«. Click on this option to enter the next step.
Here we find a series of data from the various Google services. The number of files we have in each one is shown, so we can also see Gmail among them. Then we have to click on the service from which we want to download said data, which in this case is the firm's mail service. So we click on this option, which will cause a small contextual menu to be displayed on the screen.
At the bottom of this contextual menu we have an icon with three vertical dots. Click on it and we will get several options, one of which is to download data, which is what interests us. We click on said option, so that we will be able to then download all emails from Gmail in this way. We are taken to a new window, where we can choose what we want to download in this case, since we can also include Hangouts chats. We select what interests us and we take the Next step.
In the next step we are allowed to choose the type of file to download, with formats such as ZIP to choose and the weight. So we configure this to our liking and we can now click the download button. When we do this then we will see how the download of the file in question begins, where we have all these emails that are in Gmail. Depending on the weight of the file, the download will take more or less. But it is not something that takes forever.
As you can see, it is quite simple to be able to download all emails from Gmail. A good way to have a copy of all of them.
