How to manage desktops in Windows 10

With the release of Windows 10, Microsoft added a large number of options that so far were only available on the Apple platform. Some features such as the notification center have been considerably improved compared to macOS, but in desktop management the adaptation has not been as good as you might expect.

In my case, that I use both Windows and macOS on a daily basis, and I make special use of desktops, I have to admit that macOS gives me a much more rewarding experience, mainly due to the gestures that I can perform on the Magic Trackpad or the Magic Mouse, when switching between the desktops. However, in Windows 10, this work requires a combination of keys and mouse.

Also, if I click on an application that is not open on the desktop where I am, but if it is on another, Windows 10 does not automatically open the desktop where that application is located, as it happens in macOS, but I have to navigate to the specific desktop and be able to interact with it.

While the functioning of desktops in Windows improves, in this article we are going to show you how you can create multiple desktops in Windows 10 and how we can move between them. A desktop in Windows allows us to establish a work area where open applications are located that we need at that time to carry out a task, where we can have two applications distributed on the screen such as the browser and Microsoft Word to document a job.

On another desktop we can have the mail application open in full screen and in another the file explorer, in this way we will always end the applications open in full screen, without having to minimize the applications to be able to use them.
