How to manage passwords stored in Firefox

Lockwise

Passwords are one of the most precious assets in the society in which we live, since they protect access to confidential content (bank accounts, photographs, videos, documents ...). Most browsers incorporate a password manager. In the case of Firefox we are talking about Firefox Lockwise.

Lockwise, is a password manager that is integrated into the Firefox browser but that is also available for both iOS and Android, so we can make it our usual password manager, both on our mobile and on our computer. But How does Lockwise work?

Lockwise is the password manager integrated into Firefox, a manager that is responsible for storing all the usernames and passwords of the websites we visit. In this way, every time we visit a web page for which we have registered our credentials, they will automatically be displayed and we will be able to access the service directly without having to type them in any moment.

If at any time we change the password of any of the websites we visit, Firefox will invite us to update the password. We do not update it, Lockwise will register two entries in its registry of the same web page because it can lead us to confusion if we do not delete the previous record.

Then a tab will open where all the stored passwords are displayed. To delete any of the records that we have stored, we must click on the account to delete in the left column and go to the right column to click on Delete.
