How to remove cookie notices in Firefox

Firefox

For a couple of years, every time we visit a new web page, a hateful message is displayed, which sometimes occupies a large part of the screen, where we are informed of the obligation to accept or reject that the web install cookies on our device.

Two years later, the European Union seems to have realized that the law that obliges websites to display that message is a hassle for most users and it seems that they are going to change the legislation again. Fortunately, thanks to the extensions, we can remove the cookie notice.

Although many of the extensions available in Chrome are compatible with Firefox, if the developer does not bother to bring them to the Firefox store, we are forced to resort to other versions.

Delete cookie notice in Firefox

The Firefox extension that allows us to get rid of the happy messages of cookies is I don't care about cookies (I'm not worried about cookies). This extension is available for download for free through the following link.

To install it on our computer, we just have to visit the link with Firefox and click on Add to Firefox. Next, we accept the permissions you request to install it. The extension it will be shown together with the rest of the extensions that we have installed in the browser.

The extension allows us to disable the cookie notice block on the web pages we want. But in addition, it also allows us to establish what type of cookies we allow to be installed on our computer. By default the option is selected I only allow the cookies necessary for the website to function properly.

Cookies, whether we like it or not, they are practically necessary to be able to surf the internet, so if we block them completely, it is likely that some web pages will not work or the content will not be displayed correctly.
