Microsoft Word

Surely on more than one occasion you have received a document in any format, and you have wanted to extract an image to use it later in any other document, edit it, share it ... whether it is a PDF or a Excel, Word, PowerPoint file or any other format.

The process to take an image from a Word document is different from the process we must follow in a PDF file or any other format. In this article we are going to focus on showing how we can extract an image from a Word document to work with her later.

Save Word Image

While it is true that you may think that the fastest method to get an image out of a Word document is by cropping it directly. But no, it's not that. There is a faster method that also allows us to extract the image in its original resolution. If we cut it we will just get a very low quality image and size, with which we will not be able to do practically anything.

For, save a word picture on our hard drive, we must perform the following steps:

  • We open the Word file, place the mouse on the image we want to save and click on the right mouse button.
  • Of the different options that are shown, we must click on Save as image.
  • Finally, we must select the path where we want to store the document image.

Word documents, no matter how many sheets they have, occupy very few Kb or Mb if it is very long, as long as it doesn't include any images. If it includes images, to the file size we have to add the space occupied by the images we include, so if the document is large, it can take up a lot of space.
