Internet Explorer was born more than 20 years ago and during this time it has been the preferred web browser for Windows users, at least for Windows' own tools. The last years and especially the latest versions were not highly appreciated by web developers which made Internet Explorer little by little obsolete.
With Windows 10 they wanted to change all this and it was born the Spartan project that brought Microsoft Edge with it, a revamped and powerful browser that is giving many Google and Mozilla developers problems. But, Microsoft refused to remove Internet Explorer from its new operating system, leaving it as a basic browser in critical situations or in failsafe mode.
