Office 2016 is now compatible with AutoCAD

Microsoft

During this week the Office applications have been updated, applications that we have seen updated users who are in the Insider program, but not those that are not, they will still have to wait a few more months to have the new functions.

The new Office 2016 updates, in addition to having the traditional bug fix, Office 2016 incorporates greater collaboration between Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint programs. This means that the collaborative work by groups as well as the interaction between both applications is functional and now not only will a OneDrive account be needed but it can be done without needing a Microsoft account, only the programs for content editing.

Office 2016 is already compatible with AutoCAD or at least some programs

But the most striking thing about this Office 2016 update is the compatibility of the office suite with the famous Autodesk program, AutoCAD. One of the historic requests by many Microsoft Office users will now come true. Now AutoCAD 2010 and AutoCAD 2013 files can be exported to Visio and be able to be modified directly through this program. This will allow AutoCAD files to be taken to any Office 2016 program, going through Visio first, but reaching all programs. An advance that only users of Microsoft Insider will be able to enjoy at the moment, the famous development and betatesting program that is having more and more users.

Although the new collaboration function between programs and users is quite interesting, The truth is that it will be this inclusion and compatibility with AutoCAD that makes many users opt for Office 2016 and not another office suite. This request was requested by many for a long time who had to run both programs to create reports or documents and then use third-party tools to export. Now it seems that we will not need third party tools to do it. We hope that the Office and AutoCAD rapprochement does not end here.
