WhatsApp has become the main messaging application for many millions of users, around 1.000 billion. Currently in the world of messaging applications, WhatsApp is the undisputed king, closely followed by Facebook Messenger with just over 900 million users.
A few days ago through the page designed to translate the application into different languages, we were able to check how the company was working on a client for both Windows like Mac to be able to make use of this messaging platform without having to use the web service, that web service that all it does is give problems and suck the battery of our device.
For a few hours we can download the official WhatsApp application through the website, in the same section where we can also find the application for iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, S40 and Windows Phone. The visual aspect of this application is very similar to what we can find through the web service that the application has offered us for a long time. As soon as we run the application, we will be shown the next step that we must take, which is none other than opening the application and searching through the WhatsApp Web menu to scan the QR code that will be shown on the screen.
Depending on the device we have, whether it is Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, BlackBerry 10 or Nokia S60, the application will show us the steps to follow. The operation of this application is exactly the same as the web version, so we are not really going to notice much improvement in performance compared to the web version available a few months ago. From the WhatsApp menu located in the upper left, we can create a new chat, a new group, modify our profile and status or log out.
