It had been a long time since we had heard of a new Build of Windows 10 from Microsoft. It seems that problems keep happening in your operating system, despite the incremental improvements that the Redmond company is taking on it in the form of updates. The latest compilation of the software under development, number 11082, is leaving us a bittersweet taste for the errors that have already been reported on Microsoft's own website, where those produced stand out. about language packs, system management windows or loss of configuration data set by users.
Microsoft's Insider program remains especially active in addressing all the bugs that are discovered little by little in the environment. For both desktop versions and portable devices, the expected stable version of the system is being worked on while a new cumulative update is released, which it produces more serious errors on the computers where it is installed than the faults that it initially solves.
Microsoft continues to work on the next compilation of its Windows 10 environment, although there are already a number of errors that have been detected and reported on the company's own website by users. Among them:
- The packs of languages and Features on Demand produce failure in your installation. The development team is investigating the reason for this problem.
- The progress window does not appear when copying, moving, or deleting files. The action assigned to a file is completed without user intervention and can lead to confusion when handling large files as long as they do not appear at their destination.
- Some assignments that were set by default for certain applications have been restarted. Thus, for example, when opening an image or playing a music file, the image viewer and the Windows Media Player will run even if we have other applications assigned.
Meanwhile, a new cumulative update for the system, KB3124200, which includes all the improvements made to the environment to date. This package seems to cause a series of errors for which Microsoft does not seem to have the solution yet. As reported by users, is the third cumulative package to fail widely on users' computers (previously KB3116908, KB3116900, and now KB3124200).
Without being a problem that affects all users in a general way, the experiences discussed in the Microsoft forum suggest that the error occurs in isolation in some Home versions of the operating system.
The error that happens has a really simple description. Patch installation cannot be completed and causes the computer to restart after trying to undo the changes. This error causes a continuous loop in the equipment which, when rebooted, tries again to apply the patch to, again, undo the changes and restart again and again.
This failure that doesn't seem to have a short-term solution and with the amount of problems that have arisen lately in Windows 10, Microsoft will not have all its means in that right now. For now we will have to wait for a new cumulative update to fix it.
However, the user community wanted to mobilize and offer a possible solution to eliminate this error of installation. It involves manually downloading the cumulative update provided by the patches provided by Microsoft and running its installation. To do this, we must download the file corresponding to our system (and from which we provide the links), either from 32 bits or 64 bits, then proceeding to launch it.
If with this solution the failure continues to persist, we will only have the option to block the equipment update until Microsoft resolves the incident or release a new update that does not produce the error. Without a specified date it may still take a while for this to happen.
