To upgrade or not to upgrade to Windows 10 ?; 5 reasons to do it

Windows 10

A few days ago, in this article To upgrade or not to upgrade to Windows 10 ?; 5 reasons NOT to do it, we told you a series of reasons why we believed that it was not entirely advisable to update our computer to the new one Windows 10. Microsoft's new operating system will cease to be free on July 29, for a huge number of users who still have many doubts about whether or not to install the new version of the world's most used operating system.

Precisely to solve those doubts today we want to tell you 5 of the reasons we think it's a great idea to upgrade to Windows 10. Maybe some you share and others you don't, but in general, we think it is more a good idea than a bad idea to update our computer with the new Redmond operating system.

It's free for any Windows 7 or Windows 8 user

Microsoft

Since last July 29 of last year Microsoft presented the new Windows 10, All users who had Windows 7 or Windows 8 installed on their computer, in any of its versions, could access the new software for free. This currently and until one year of the launch will remain in effect.

This means that almost any user can access Windows 10 without having to shell out a single euro for it. In addition to the fact that updating is free, the possibility of being able to return to the original operating system is always kept in mind, up to 30 days after the installation is carried out.

I myself have to confess that I was very reluctant to try new things, since Windows 7 worked quite well on my computer, but the fact that Windows 10 was free made me try it the first day it was released. The idea was to go back to my old operating system as soon as I could, but I never went back, not because it was free but because it is without a doubt the best operating system developed by Microsoft to date.

The minimum requirements are the same as Windows 8.1 and the performance is spectacular

One of the great fears of many users, including myself until not too long ago, was that of not having enough minimum requirements for Windows 10 to function more or less correctly. However, this should not be something that may worry you and is that the minimum requirements for Microsoft's new operating system are exactly the same as for Windows 8.1.

This means that if you have Windows 8 installed on your computer there will be no problem with Windows 10. A bit of the same thing happens if you have Windows 7 installed since the minimum resources are very similar to those that we will need with the new software.

Here we show you the minimum requirements that we must have on our computer to be able to install or upgrade to the new Windows 10;

  • Free internal storage of 16 GB and 1 GB of RAM for 32-bit version
  • 20 GB internal storage and 2 GB of RAM for the 64-bit version.

Cortana, the almost perfect virtual assistant

Cortana

With the launch of Windows 10 it has come from his hand to our computer, Cortana, Microsoft's voice assistant, which we could say is almost perfect, but above all it will make our lives a little easier. It was already present for a long time on mobile devices with Redmond software, but now it has made its landing on computers.

Thanks to Cortana we can open an application just by speaking into the computer's microphone or look for anything we need. At first it will be very strange to use this option, but with the passage of time we will use it daily and constantly, being very useful.

Windows 7 begins to "get older"

Windows 7 is undoubtedly for almost everyone the best version of the popular Microsoft operating system. Proof of it is that it is currently still the version with the largest market share and also the operating system with the largest number of users worldwide. It goes without saying that it is still a huge distance when it comes to users of the new Windows 10.

Any Windows 7 user has the option, until next July 29, to upgrade to the new Windows 10 for free. We know that this is an unfeasible option for many and difficult for some, but that in the long run it pays off a lot. we wanted or not Windows 7 is getting older and some options, functions or even the interface are already too old.

Actualización

Nobody, for example, uses an old mobile device anymore, with a single screen line or without a color screen. Windows 10 is free for all Windows 7 users and is perhaps the best replacement for what has been and still is the best operating system on the market.

Windows 10 is a great operating system

I know that this last reason to update your computer to Windows 10 is somewhat personal, and that it is the result of the use that I have given the operating system for almost the last year, but I have not been able to resist including it.

And it is that I have always been a staunch defender of Windows 7, both of its operation and its options. Needless to say, it took me enormously to make the move to Windows 10, but when I did, from the first moment I knew that I would never install another operating system again, waiting for Windows 11 to improve very much to this new Windows.

Windows 10 is by far the best operating system developed by Microsoft, and it shows in every corner and in every detail. In addition, its operation is splendid on any computer and on almost any device. If it serves as a reference, a year ago I was thinking of changing my desktop computer because it was a little slow and sometimes it was difficult for certain things. Now and for the moment I do not think about the change because Windows 10 has given the computer another air. Windows 7 was and is very good, but Windows 10 has managed to surpass it, although at the moment it lacks the confidence of users.

Have you already decided to upgrade to the new Windows 10?. Tell us the reasons why you have decided in the space reserved for the comments of this post or through any of the social networks in which we are present.
