How to remove OneDrive from Windows 10

Windows 10

Many of you, despite using Windows 10, do not use OneDrive but another hard disk service. This makes many users want to remove OneDrive from their operating systems.

So far we know how to disable OneDrive from the system startup, something that we already tell you here. But it exists a way to remove OneDrive from Windows 10 permanently and permanently. And of course, we do not have to go through Uninstall from Windows.

Even if it's from Microsoft, OneDrive can be removed from Windows 10

In order to eliminate OneDrive in a definitive way we have to go to the Windows Registry, in this case we will open the RegEdit application, an increasingly important application for configurations. In this application we have to look for the next entry HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/CLSID/{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6}.
Once we have located the folder, we have to go to the files and look for the following file System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree, this file has a value of 1, a value that we have to change to 0. Once the system has been changed and restarted, we will be able to verify that all references to OneDrive have been eliminated from Windows 10.

But if we regret it and want to have it again, we just have to repeat the previous steps and change the value to the number 1.

There is also a more radical option that consists in using a batch file that will erase everything permanentlyThat is, we will not be able to have OneDrive again unless we do a restoration or reinstall Windows 10 again. You can get this batch file here and it is totally harmless even though it performs that action.

Personally I prefer the first option to delete OneDrive since it is not known when this Microsoft service will be needed or not, nor if we will need an application that needs it. Although if you are determined and do not want to see OneDrive on your Windows, I recommend the second option.

Since I have no need to remove OneDrive from Windows, I have used other backstopping solutions, but honestly, I have no old reasons to uninstall the PC.
