Satya Nadella confirms that Microsoft will continue in the mobile phone market

Microsoft

Satya Nadella has become over time the leader that Microsoft needed, making the company improve greatly since he took the helm of the ship. Unfortunately, one of the few things it has failed to do has been to improve the situation within the mobile phone market, where Redmond's have gradually lost what little presence they had.

The possibility of Microsoft exiting the mobile phone market, perhaps by selling off its mobile division, has long been considered, but with the Surface Phone just around the corner, Nadella has confirmed that "We will continue in the telephony market, not in the way that the current market leaders have defined it, but with what we can do in a unique way in the most advanced mobile phone".

At the moment it seems that Microsoft is not going to launch any device until they are truly ready for it. That means that we will not see the Surface Phone until it is fully developed and without any type of failure or problem.

Nadella has given as an example HP Elite x3, a mobile device with Windows 10 Mobile that is having great success in the market, and that offers us not only a very successful design but also enormous power and performance. The Surface Phone is supposed to go one step further, although if it does not achieve its objectives, perhaps Microsoft's presence in the telephony market is more than doubtful, even if Satya Nadella himself assures it.

Do you think Microsoft has a future in the mobile phone market?.
