Windows 10 market share continues to grow in April

Microsoft

April is history and as each month that ends we already have adoption figures for the new Windows 10. In a quick X-ray we could say that Microsoft's new operating system continues to grow in terms of market share and is getting closer, step by step. slow, yes, to Windows 7, the software that still has a market share close to 50%.

The market share of Windows 10 at the end of April is 14,35%, presenting a growth compared to March of 0,20% which does not mean great growth, but it does mean continuing to move up and closer to Windows 7. With this market share, Microsoft's new operating system maintains the second position, seeing Windows XP in the distance with a market share of 9,66 %.

Below we show you the market share of the different operating systems on the market;

Windows

Windows 7 continues to lose market share, of course, and this month of April a 3,10% is left compared to the previous month. This drop, strangely does not correspond to the rise of Windows 10, which suggests that many users abandon Windows 7 to go to other operating systems or as an intermediate step to update themselves in time to the new software from Redmond.

April has not been a good month for Windows 10 since although it continues to grow in terms of market share, this growth is minimal. Hopefully in the month of May the new operating system will grow again strongly, also taking advantage of the fact that it will be one of the last months to be able to update to it for free.

Have you already updated your computer to the new Windows 10?.
