Just yesterday we knew that Microsoft is still working on the development of the Surface Phone, a mobile device that will go straight to swell the high-end with enormous power and as far as we know a design very similar to that of the Surface, the popular hybrids of the Redmond-based company. In addition, we also learned that this new smartphone could hit the market next April 2017.
Today we have also learned new information regarding the future of Microsoft and it has transpired that the Windows 10 Mobile's second major update, dubbed Redstone 2, would arrive at the same time as the Surface Phone.
This confirms what we knew yesterday in a leaked email that bore the signature of Terry Myerson, and where they confirmed that they will continue to support Windows 10 Mobile for a long time. This big update that we are all waiting for would be the proofs of his words.
For the moment and as it seems logical we do not know too many details about this new update of Windows 10 MobileAlthough it is expected that it is focused on improving Cortana, Microsoft's voice assistant, Continuum, so that this service is finally shown as an alternative to computers and surely a lot more new functions or options.
The future of Windows 10 Mobile seems assured with the arrival on the market next year of the new and expected Surface Phone and in addition to Windows 10 Mobile Redstone 2, the second major update of the mobile operating system from Redmond.
